Gilbert's Magical Christmas Following the success of Humbug! A Musical Christmas Carol last December and the ever popular Pirates of Penzance in June this year Hull Savoyards return to the Civic Hall on Friday 2nd December with 'Gilberts magical Christmas'.   It is Christmas time and Gilbert is not looking forward to the arrival of the assortment of relatives and friends which Lucy, his wife, has invited to a party. He would much prefer to be getting on with his writing. Knowing what Lucy had been planning, Gilbert has already come up with an impish little plan to liven up...

Following on from Jack and the Beanstalk, Robin Hood and Cinderella, we will be returning to Cottingham for our annual family pantomime in 2022 - this time with the swashbuckling Robinson Crusoe! There will be all the usual audience participation as the good fairy, the evil pirates, the bumbling sea captain, ship's cook and our beautiful heroine take us on a magical adventure this Christmas. UNDER 16's Just £5 Hull Savoyards’ Amateur Operatic Society are thrilled to unveil our latest show – “Robin Hood: or, the Merry Men and the Maid.” This new adaptation of the classic tale combines the heroics of Robin Hood with the wit of Gilbert and Sullivan. Written by two members of the society, this is a world premiere production! The show opens in Locksley Village where we find Maid Marian who has become secretly engaged to Robin Hood, the notorious outlaw.
